This time they are attacking Reagan as being a racist.

The Left is having sucess with Lott, so they are using it to attack anything else they can make any kind of connection to.

Of course this mess is all Lott's fault, not his statment, but the fact that he apologiezed in the first place, giving creadance to the liberal's claims. He gave them the fuel they needed to keep hammering on him. Had he said nothing, or said he ment Strom's stat's rights postion, and let the liberals draw their own conclusions without giving them creadance, I wouldn't be typing this today and Lott wouldn't be in trouble.
